Products Description
Electrolytic manganese flakes, also known as electrolytic manganese metal flakes, are simple metallic manganese extracted and refined from manganese ore by electrochemical methods. Its preparation process mainly includes two stages: preparation of electrolytic solution and electrolytic operation process. First, manganese ore powder is reacted with inorganic acid to prepare manganese salt solution, and then the electrolytic solution is obtained through a series of purification treatments. Then, direct current is passed into the electrolytic cell to reduce and precipitate manganese ions on the cathode to form metallic manganese flakes.

Electrolytic manganese flakes look like iron, in irregular flakes, hard and brittle. One side is shiny, the other side is rough, and the color is silvery white to brown. After being processed into powder, it is silvery gray and easily oxidized in the air. In addition, electrolytic manganese flakes dissolve and replace hydrogen when they encounter dilute acid. When the temperature is slightly higher than room temperature, they can decompose water and release hydrogen.

As an important alloying element, electrolytic manganese flakes are widely used in steel production. It can significantly improve the strength, hardness and wear resistance of steel, thereby extending the service life of steel. Manganese plays a key role in alloys such as manganese-copper alloy, manganese-aluminum alloy and 200 series stainless steel. Electrolytic manganese flakes are also an important chemical raw material. It can be used to produce chemical intermediates such as manganese tetraoxide, and then to manufacture chemical products such as manganate, potassium manganate and sodium manganate. These products are used as catalysts, oxidants and decolorizers in the chemical industry. Electrolytic manganese flakes are also an important raw material for high-performance lithium manganate batteries. Lithium manganate batteries have the characteristics of high energy density and long cycle life, and are widely used in mobile communication equipment, power tools and electric vehicles. Electrolytic manganese flakes also play an important role in wastewater treatment and deodorant production. It can be used as a remover of heavy metal pollutants to purify wastewater by forming precipitation with heavy metals. At the same time, the oxidizing property of manganese can also be used to oxidize organic pollutants to achieve the effect of removing odors.

The quality inspection and acceptance of electrolytic manganese flakes shall be carried out by the technical supervision department of the supplier, and the purchaser has the right to accept the product quality according to regulations. Products should be delivered in batches, and each batch consists of the same brand.
