Standard 75% Ferrosilicon
Standard FeSi ferrosilicon 75 is widely used in the steel industry and foundries for steelmaking, as a deoxidizing additive and alloying element.
It has a wide range of applications as an alloy source for steel production. It is used in the automotive industry, engines, car manufacturing, as well as civil engineering, steel reinforcement, and pipeline production.
High-purity FeSi 75% ferrosilicon is used to make special steel, including conductive and non-conductive silicon particles, for manufacturing transformer cores, generators, and other electrical equipment.
Raw materials are selected and classified according to their physical and chemical characteristics. These raw materials are properly weighed and then sent to an electric submerged arc furnace for the reduction process.
Inside the electric furnace, through the insertion of a heat source, a chemical reaction occurs in which coal reduces quartz and the iron source. Electricity is introduced into the electric furnace through carbon-based electrodes.
