Ferro-titanium is an alloy composed of titanium and iron, usually with a titanium mass fraction between 20% and 75%. Ferro Titanium alloys have a wide range of applications in the steel industry due to their unique physical and chemical properties.

- Alloy Steel: Ferro Titanium is mainly used in the production of high strength low alloy steel (HSLA steel). Titanium plays a role in steel to refine the grain and improve strength, which helps to increase the toughness and wear resistance of steel.


- Stainless steels: In the production of stainless steels, ferro-titanium is used to stabilize carbon and prevent carbide precipitation, thereby preventing intergranular corrosion of the steel at elevated temperatures (e.g., titanium stabilization in austenitic stainless steels).


- Heat-resistant steels and high-temperature alloys: Ferro-titanium is also used in the manufacture of heat-resistant steels and high-temperature alloys, which have excellent oxidation resistance and mechanical properties at high temperatures, and are suitable for use in aerospace, automobile engines, and other fields.
