Ferro vanadium is typically produced from vanadium sludge (or titanium-containing magnetite processed to produce pig iron) with a V range of 50 – 85%. Ferrovanadium can be used as a general hardener, strengthening agent and anti-corrosion additive for high-strength low-alloy steel, tool steel and other iron-containing products.
Iron Vanadium is mainly produced in China. China, Russia and South Africa account for more than 75% of global vanadium ore production. Iron Vanadium Alloy is also available as FeV nitride. The strengthening effect of vanadium increases when nitrogen content increases.
Ferrovanadium (FeV) is a versatile steel hardener, strengthener and anti-corrosion additive.
