Ferrosilicon 75, usually refers to ferrosilicon with a silicon content between 74% and 80%, also known as 75A ferrosilicon or 75# ferrosilicon, is a ferroalloy commonly used in casting, metallurgy, and steelmaking industries. The main component of ferrosilicon 75 is silicon, with a content of more than 75%. It also contains a certain amount of aluminum (Al≥1.5%), as well as trace amounts of calcium (Ca≤0.06%), magnesium (Mg≤0.05%), manganese (Mn≤0.25%), phosphorus (P≤0.04%), titanium (Ti≤0.10%) and other elements. Ferrosilicon 75 has high density, high strength, high toughness, good ductility and wear resistance. It is amorphous, has higher strength and toughness, extremely high stiffness and ductility, can better resist various external pressures, and exhibits good impact resistance and corrosion resistance. In addition, ferrosilicon 75 also has good magnetic conductivity.

High-quality natural blocks of ferrosilicon 75 should be dark gray with a bright and uniform metallic luster. The surface of high-quality natural blocks of ferrosilicon 75 should be smooth, crack-free, and free of oxidation. Natural blocks of ferrosilicon with rough surfaces, many cracks, or oxidation may be of poor quality. The shape of natural blocks of ferrosilicon 75 is irregular and the blocks are uneven. In contrast, the shape of standard ferrosilicon blocks is generally produced according to standardized standards, with relatively uniform length, width, and height, making them easier to carry and use.
