Products Description
Metallic silicon (industrial silicon) is a smelting product with a silicon content of about 98%-99%, and 2202 represents its typical specifications: iron content ≤0.2%, aluminum content ≤0.2%, calcium content ≤0.02%. This high-purity silicon does not come from sand on the beach (silicon dioxide), but is made by high-temperature reduction of quartz ore in an electric arc furnace. The production process is like "alchemy" - using a carbonaceous reducing agent to convert silicon dioxide into liquid silicon at a high temperature of 2000℃, and then cooling the ingot.
