At the same time, it also has a positive significance for environmental protection and resource utilization, which can reduce energy consumption and environmental pollution.

In steel smelting, the amount of barium silicon alloy added is not fixed, but is determined according to factors such as specific smelting conditions, product requirements, and oxygen content in molten steel.

Determinants of the number of additions:

Smelting conditions: The type, capacity and smelting process of the smelting furnace will affect the amount of silicon barium alloy added.

Product requirements: Different types of steel have different requirements for silicon barium alloys, so the amount added will also be different.

Oxygen content in molten steel: One of the main functions of silicon-barium alloy is deoxidation, so the oxygen content in molten steel is one of the key factors that determine the amount of silicon-barium alloy added.

In some cases, such as converter smelting Q235 steel grade, the amount of silicon barium alloy added is about 80kg/furnace.

The amount of barium silicon alloy added also depends on its silicon content and silicon absorption rate. For example, if the silicon content of the silicon-barium alloy is 70% and the silicon absorption rate is 85%, then the amount of silicon-barium alloy that should be added to each furnace steel will be calculated according to the amount of residual manganese at the end of smelting and the product composition requirements.

Adjustment of the amount added:

In the actual smelting process, workers will flexibly decide the amount of silicon barium alloy to be added according to the oxygen content in the molten steel and the degree of deoxidation required. This usually involves the monitoring and analysis of parameters such as manganese residue and silicon content at the end of smelting.
