Electrolytic Manganese Sheet

The main raw materials of electrolytic manganese are manganese carbonate powder, concentrated sulfuric acid, manganese dioxide powder and liquid ammonia, and the auxiliary additives are sodium fumei and selenium dioxide. The electrolytic cell anode liquid and 98% concentrated sulfuric acid are sequentially introduced into the chemical tank, and manganese carbonate powder is added by a feeding car. When the reaction is close to the end point (indicated by residual sulfuric acid detection, 8~9g/L), manganese monoxide (prepared by reduction roasting of manganese dioxide) is added. When the reaction is close to the end point (residual acid 2~3g/L), manganese dioxide (anode mud) is added to oxidize low-valent iron, and liquid ammonia is added to adjust the pH value to 3.8~4.2 to precipitate iron in the form of Fe(0H)3. The above steps are all carried out in the chemical tank.

The leachate is then sent to the filter press workshop, filtered by a plate and frame filter press, and the filtrate enters the sedimentation tank. Sodium fumei (C3H6NS2Na·2H20) is added to precipitate heavy metals such as Co and Ni in the filtrate in the form of chelates. After the test paper detects that there is no heavy metal, the refined filtrate is obtained by plate and frame filtration. The temperature of the fine filtrate is generally around 80℃, while the suitable temperature for electrolysis is between 38℃ and 42℃, so it needs to be cooled. The temperature is naturally reduced in the static tank. Manganese is easily oxidized when it is precipitated during electrolysis. It is necessary to first add 2~3kg/t of selenium dioxide to the static tank as an antioxidant. The static adjustment process is generally 24h to obtain a qualified electrolyte. Then the qualified liquid is sent to the electrolytic cell for electrolysis. The cathode plate of the electrolytic cell precipitates metal manganese flakes with a purity of 99.9%. After passivation, washing, drying and stripping, the product is obtained. The electrolytic cell uses a diaphragm bag to separate the electrolyte from the anode liquid. The anode liquid contains a large amount of Mn, (NH4)2S04 and H2S04, which are reused in the leaching process. The anode produces anode mud (more than 90% is Mn02), which is reused in the oxidation and iron removal process.
