What are the uses of ferromanganese alloy:
Deoxidation use of ferro manganese alloy: Ferromanganese alloy is one of the main deoxidizers in the steelmaking process. Almost all steel types need to be deoxidized with metallurgical materials such as silicon-manganese alloy.
This is mainly because the silicon element in the ferromanganese alloy can react with oxygen. Combined with the reason for the generation of silicon dioxide, the oxygen product generated when using ferromanganese alloy for deoxidation has a lower melting point and is easy to float. Ferromanganese alloy also has the deoxidation purpose of increasing strong deoxidizers such as silicon and aluminum;
Use of ferromanganese alloy to increase toughness: Ferromanganese alloy is used in steelmaking to enable the steel to be hot-rolled, forged and other processes without breaking, thereby improving the toughness of the steel.
