Application
In the iron and steel metallurgical industry, high-carbon ferromanganese is widely used as a deoxidizer and silicon-manganese alloy additive. It can effectively reduce the content of other impurity elements, thereby improving the cleanliness and tensile strength of steel.
Ferromanganese is a good accelerator and spheroidizing agent in casting. Adding ferromanganese during the casting process can effectively spheroidize graphite and greatly shorten the spheroidization time. On the other hand, high-carbon ferromanganese can also greatly reduce the shape of impurities in molten iron, improve the quality of cast iron, reduce clogging of the smelting furnace mouth, and effectively extend the service life of the smelting furnace.
