Casting Iron Use FeSi Ferrosilicon 75% 72% Ferro Silicon
Ferro silicon is used to remove oxygen from steel and as an alloying element to improve the final quality of steel.
It is also used as an additive to increase the silicon content in gray iron and ductile iron. Silicon improves strength and wear resistance, elasticity (spring steel), oxidation resistance (heat-resistant steel), and reduces electrical conductivity and magnetostriction (electrical steel).
Special grades of 45% 65% 70% FeSi, such as low-alumina, high-purity, and low-carbon ferrosilicon, are used in the production of special steels such as transformers/motors, ball bearings and shock absorbers, tire cord steel, and stainless steel.
