Ferro silicon 72 is mainly used as reducing agent in steel production, and it can be used to produce ordinary steel, cast iron and so on. The appearance of ferro silicon 72 is black block or granular, the density is about 7.2 ~ 7.4g/cm, and the melting point is about 1410℃. It is hard to cut at room temperature. Its chemical composition mainly includes Si and Fe, in which Si content is ≥72%, C content is ≤0.2%, P content is ≤0.05%, and S content is ≤0.05%.

Ferro silicon 72 plays an important role in iron and steel production. It is mainly used as a reducing agent to help produce ordinary steel and cast iron. In the process of steelmaking, ferro silicon 72 can effectively deoxidize, and it can also be used as an alloying agent to improve the properties of steel. Ferro silicon 72 also plays an important role in the foundry industry.
