The main characteristics of ferrosilicon powder include: (1) good corrosion resistance, can be used for a long time in harsh environments; (2) high conductivity and magnetic permeability, can be used in electronic and electromagnetic materials; (3) has a certain plasticity and weldability, easy to process and connect.

The main methods for preparing ferrosilicon powder are: (1) carbon thermal method: silicon and iron raw materials react with carbonaceous materials at high temperature to form ferrosilicon alloy, and then crush, screen and other processes to prepare powder particles; (2) gas phase reduction method: silicon and iron raw materials are dissolved in a suitable solvent, and then reduced to powder particles under high temperature conditions by physical vapor deposition.
