Ferro Silicon Nitride in High-Stress Steel Industry as Refractory Materials
Ferrosilicon nitride is a new material designed specifically for refractory applications, primarily used in the manufacturing of clay-based refractory materials for iron tapping holes. It is produced by nitriding a mixture of high-grade ferrosilicon and metal alloys.
Ferrosilicon nitride is synthesized in a special reactor under a pressure of 10 MPa and a temperature of approximately 2000 °C, which gives it a unique combination of chemical properties. It appears off-white and is produced using SHS technology, containing β-Si3N4 with a special structure.
