Ferrosilicon Nitride for Tap Hole Clay
Tap hole clay is fortified with ferrosilicon nitride to enhance the productivity and quality of metal produced in blast furnaces. The tap hole and runner materials made with added ferrosilicon nitride have proven to be highly effective and are widely used by leading companies in the steel industry committed to achieving high performance in blast furnace operations. The ferrosilicon nitride content varies from 5% to 30%, depending on operating conditions, primarily the size of the blast furnace and the discharge conditions of hot metal and slag.
Ferrosilicon Nitride for Refractory Materials
The addition of ferrosilicon nitride enhances the high-temperature strength and wear resistance of refractory materials, improves their thermal stability and oxidation resistance, reduces the coefficient of thermal expansion, and increases thermal conductivity.
Compared to silicon carbide and high-alumina refractory materials, ferrosilicon nitride refractory materials have a lower coefficient of thermal expansion. They are more resistant to wear from high-temperature metal and slag and do not shrink during repeated heating.
