Fesi Ferrosilicon Lumps (FeSi) is an alloy of iron and silicon, with the silicon content varying widely from 10% to 90%. It is used in steel production as a so-called master alloy, added in small quantities to adjust the properties of the melt, the cooling process, and the finished product.

The main advantage of Fesi Ferrosilicon is its deoxidizing effect (i.e., it reduces metals from oxides), but it also helps prevent the loss of carbon.

Additionally, Fesi Ferro silicon 75 72 70 65 is used in electrode coatings and the production of silicon, hydrogen, and magnesium.

Fesi Ferro silicon 75% 72% is produced by reducing quartz sand (SiO2) with coke in the presence of iron in a blast furnace or electric arc furnace. The melt is poured out of the furnace and solidified in the form of plates.
