Products Description
 

Ferro Silicon 75 is mainly used for smelting high-grade oriented silicon steel, non oriented silicon steel, and low alloy steel. The smelting of ferrosilicon FeSi75 in countries such as Japan, the United States, and Norway involves the reduction of silicon ore, metallurgical coke (+petroleum coke+charcoal+coal, etc.), and steel chips (or iron ore) in a submerged arc furnace. Some also use the multi-component slag suction method outside the furnace to remove some impurities, which is a complex process. All domestic manufacturers produce ferrosilicon FeSi75 by reducing it in a submerged arc furnace using silica, metallurgical coke, and steel chips.

The basic principle of ferrosilicon production is the reduction of silicon dioxide from carbon. In specific production, in order to remove oxygen from the silicon dioxide, it is necessary to raise the temperature of the furnace and reduce the silicon dioxide with carbon from the coke, the resulting gas, such as carbon dioxide or carbon monoxide, can be removed from the furnace and silicon can be reduced directly.
