Products Description
Ferroalloy is an alloy material composed of iron and one or more other metallic or nonmetallic elements. In iron and steel smelting process, ferroalloy is added to hot metal as deoxidizer and element additive, which makes steel have certain characteristics or meet certain requirements. Ferroalloy is not a directly used metal material, but an intermediate raw material for steel production and casting industry. It not only includes alloys of iron and other metal elements, such as ferrosilicon and ferromanganese, but also includes some pure metal additives and oxide additives. In the iron and steel industry, all intermediate alloys used for steelmaking, whether containing iron or not, such as silicon-calcium alloys, are collectively called "ferroalloys"
Ferroalloy is widely used in modern industry.
