introduction of ferro titanium
The melting point of titanium element and iron alloy is close to steel, the specific gravity is similar to steel, and it is not easy to oxidize, and its production process is simpler than the production of pure metals and non-metals, and the production cost is much lower than that of pure monomer metals and non-metals, and the price is low, especially suitable for steelmaking and the production of various high-tech materials. Therefore, ferroalloys have become an important material in the steelmaking and new materials industry.
At present, there are dozens of binary and multivariate ferroalloys, among which titanium-iron alloy is one of the binary ferroalloys with the largest amount.
The high-carbon titanium-iron alloy contains 17% titanium, 7% carbon, and the surplus iron is used as a ladle additive for purifying steel.
Low-carbon titanium-iron alloy contains 20% ~ 25% titanium, 0.10% carbon, 4% silicon, 3.5% lead, and the rest is iron, which is used as a reducing agent, all of which are made of ilmenite in an electric furnace.

Comparisons of Titanium-Iron Alloy with Other Materials
Comparison with Aluminum Alloys: Titanium iron alloys have a lower density, higher strength-to-weight ratio, superior corrosion resistance, and a wide range of working temperatures compared to aluminum alloys.
Comparison with Stainless Steel: Titanium iron alloy exhibits superior heat resistance and corrosion resistance at high temperatures compared to stainless steel, making it suitable for use in harsh environments.
