FerroTitanium (FeTi) Alloy Description
Ferrotitanium (FeTi) alloys are commonly used as additives in the production of steel and cast iron. It is added to enhance the strength, hardness, and corrosion resistance of these metals. Due to its high melting point, ferrotitanium can effectively improve the performance of the final product at high temperatures, making it suitable for the aerospace, automotive and construction industries.

Ferrotitanium is an alloy additive composed of iron and titanium. It is produced by reduction or melting. The minimum weight content of titanium is /20%/, and the maximum weight content is /75%/.
Ferrotitanium is used as a deoxidizing and degassing component in steel production.
The deoxidizing ability of ferrotitanium is much higher than the efficiency of silicon or manganese. Ferrotitanium also improves the mechanical properties of steel – increasing its strength and corrosion resistance. In the steel industry, ferrotitanium is most commonly used in tool steels and stainless steels.
Ferrotitanium can also improve the properties of the alloy. It increases their wear resistance and improves processing properties. At the same time it is also added to 0-2mm special-shaped cables.
