The exhaust contains hydrogen chloride, sulphur dioxide and sulphuric acid, which have devastating effects on vegetation and crops; Waste water contains hexavalent chromium, cadmium, arsenic and other pollutants, which is very harmful to humans and animals and easy to form acid rain. At present, production is shifting to less developed countries and regions.
In addition, iron vanadium is also known as a "strategic metal." Ferrovanadium and its alloys have excellent properties such as corrosion resistance, high strength, high and low temperature strength, non-magnetism, good human adaptability, shape memory and superconductivity. Because of its light weight and high strength, it has been widely used in aerospace and other fields. In recent years, its application has gradually expanded to shipbuilding, petrochemical equipment, offshore platforms, power equipment, medical treatment, consumer goods and other civil industrial fields.
There are two methods for extracting ferric vanadium from magnetite: the fire method is indirect extraction of ferric vanadium from concentrate or vanadium slag, and the wet method is direct extraction of ferric vanadium from concentrate. At present, the indirect extraction method of iron vanadium is mainly used in our country. Pyrovanadium extraction process: Mineral processing products vanadium iron concentrate is directly smelted in blast furnace or electric furnace, so that most of the vanadium in the ore enters the hot metal, and then the water containing vanadium iron is sent to the converter to blow oxygen, so that vanadium is enriched in the slag and becomes vanadium slag. Vanadium peroxide is obtained from vanadium slag by roasting, leaching and filtration. The great advantage of this method is high vanadium recovery.
