After adding ferrovanadium to steel, the hardness, strength, wear resistance and ductility of the steel can be significantly improved, and the cutting performance of the steel can be improved. Ferrovanadium is commonly used in the production of carbon steel, low alloy steel, high alloy steel, tool steel and cast iron.
Ferrovanadium is supplied in block or powder form.
The maximum block ferrovanadium shall not exceed 8kg, and the number of fragments less than 20×20mm shall not exceed 5% of the total weight.
Powdered ferrovanadium is supplied with -0.45mm mesh, of which -0.098mm shall not exceed 30% of the total weight.
There are no obvious inclusions visible to the naked eye on the surface and cross section of ferrovanadium blocks and in the vanadium powder.
Domestic FeV50 is packaged in iron barrels with a net weight of 100kg per barrel, and most exported FeV75 is packaged in iron barrels with a net weight of 250kg per barrel. If the buyer has special requirements for packaging, the supply and demand parties can negotiate to resolve.

FeV50 and FeV80 are suitable for any vanadium-containing steel, and they are added in the same way in steelmaking. Although the melting temperature of FEV80 is higher, since ferrovanadium is a dissolving process in molten steel, it is suitable for both converter steelmaking and electric furnace steelmaking.
Sample preparation: The preparation of samples for chemical analysis is carried out in accordance with GB4332-84 "Preparation of samples for chemical analysis of ferroalloys".
Chemical analysis: Chemical analysis of ferrovanadium is carried out in accordance with YB585-65 "Chemical analysis method of ferrovanadium".
Inspection rules: Product quality inspection and acceptance shall comply with the requirements of GB3650-83 "General Provisions for Acceptance, Packaging, Storage, Transportation, Marking and Quality Certificate of Ferroalloys".
Batch: Each furnace number product is delivered as a batch. The surplus that is less than one piece of packaging can be delivered in batches with other furnaces or batches of products of the same grade whose vanadium content differs by no more than 2%.
