Vanadium pentoxide is widely used in metallurgy, chemical industry and other industries, mainly for smelting iron vanadium. As an alloy additive, it accounts for more than 80% of the total consumption of vanadium pentoxide, the annual consumption of vanadium pentoxide is about 400 tons, and the annual demand of high purity vanadium pentoxide is estimated to be about 100 tons.
Ferro vanadium is an iron alloy composed of vanadium and iron, mainly used as an alloy additive in steelmaking, and high vanadium iron vanadium is also used as an additive for non-ferrous alloys. There are three commonly used vanadium iron containing vanadium 40%, 60% and 80%. Iron vanadium is an important alloy additive in iron and steel industry. At present, the application range of vanadium steel is more and more wide.
Alloys such as vanadium and titanium are used in the production of aviation alloy materials (bars and plates) series products, and the annual consumption of vanadium is about 50 tons. Vanadium-nitrogen alloy is a new alloy additive, which can be used in the production of microalloyed steel instead of iron vanadium. The addition of vanadium nitride to steel can improve the comprehensive mechanical properties such as strength, toughness, ductility and thermal fatigue resistance, and make the steel have good weldability.
