What Are Manganese Flakes Used For?

Manganese flakes​ are the brittle, metallic, plate‑like pieces obtained after stripping high‑purity manganese metal from stainless steel cathodes following the electrowinning​ process. They typically measure 1–5 cm, have a silvery‑gray appearance, and contain ≥ 99.7 % Mn (often 99.9 % for battery‑grade).
