Silicon carbide production process

Select high-quality silica ore as raw material to ensure that the output silicon carbide has good quality. The silica ore is crushed and ground to meet the appropriate particle size requirements. Impurities in the silica ore are removed by flotation, magnetic separation and other methods to improve purity. After drying, the water content in the silica ore is removed. The prepared silica is sent to a high-temperature electric furnace for reduction to generate coarse silicon carbide. The coarse silicon carbide is treated by acid washing, water washing and other treatments to remove residual impurities.

The coarse silicon carbide is crushed at high temperature to obtain the required silicon carbide powder. The silicon carbide powder is mixed evenly with the binder to form a molding material. The molding material is processed into the required shape by injection molding, compression molding and other processes. The molded silicon carbide products are initially dried to remove residual moisture. Sintering of silicon carbide products The molded silicon carbide products are placed in a sintering furnace. Sintering is carried out at a high temperature to combine the silicon carbide particles to form a dense block product.
