Products Description
Molybdenum-iron is an alloy material made of molybdenum and iron in a certain proportion, in which the content of molybdenum is usually between 50% and 60%. Molybdenum iron has a high melting point, which is generally between 1800 and 1900℃.. As an alloy of molybdenum and iron, it not only has the high melting point, high corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance of molybdenum, but also is compatible with the thermal conductivity and processability of iron, forming an alloy material with high strength, high hardness, high wear resistance and corrosion resistance.
Molybdenum iron smelting raw material is mainly molybdenite (MoS2). Before smelting, molybdenum concentrate needs to be oxidized and roasted to obtain roasted molybdenum ore with sulfur content less than 0.07%. In the smelting process, we usually adopt the out-of-furnace method, taking ferrosilicon and a small amount of aluminum particles as reducing agents, and smelting under specific conditions. After cooling, crushing and finishing, ferromolybdenum products are finally obtained. In the smelting process, the metal recovery rate can reach 92% ~ 99%.
Ferromolybdenum plays an important role in iron and steel industry. As an alloying element, ferromolybdenum has excellent high strength, hardness and corrosion resistance. Especially in high temperature and high pressure environment, ferromolybdenum can effectively enhance the stability and durability of steel. Therefore, ferromolybdenum is widely used in automobile manufacturing, bridges, construction, petrochemical industry and other fields. With the rapid development of electronic technology, ferromolybdenum is more and more widely used in electronic industry. Ferromolybdenum has unique advantages in manufacturing electronic components and semiconductor materials because of its good electrical and thermal conductivity, which can withstand high temperature and high pressure environment. In addition, ferromolybdenum can also be used to make electrode materials for vacuum furnaces, melting furnaces and other equipment, which provides a strong guarantee for the development of electronic industry.
