Graphites Peteolenum Coke Description
Graphite Petroleum Coke is widely used as carburant in the steel-making industry and precision casting industry, reduction pregnant agent in the casting industry, reducing agent in metallurgical industry and as one kind of refractory, etc.
Graphite Petroleum Coke could promote the nucleation of the graphite in liquid iron, increase the amount of spheroidal graphite, and improve the structure and the grade of grey iron.
Graphites Peteolenum Coke Characteristics
(1) High carbon : High purity 98.5-99.5%
(2) Low sulphur : 0.01% ~ 0.05%. Low sulphur and stable distribution can effectively reduce the adverse effect of sulphur in spheroidizing and pregnant process to the alloy, and it saves the cost.
(3) Low nitrogen : nitrogen content 50 PPM ~ 300 PPM(0.005%-0.03%)
(4) High carbon recovery: 92- 98%.
(5) Fast absorption speed: it's easily dissolve in the molten iron.
(6) High graphite crystal nucleus and high graphitization degree: it can reduce the iron liquid contraction tendency and improve the mechanical properties of casting.
(7) It may increase the dosage of scrap steel and reduce the demand of pig-iron or even without adding pig iron. It may well effectively avoid the heredity of pig iron to affect the casting.
(8) Stable carburetion, good absorption rate and distinct temperature-lifting effect: There is no return slag. It can effectively protect and lengthen the furnace life and reduce the consumption of the furnace lining.
Graphite Petroleum Coke Uses
Petcoke, depending on its quality, is used in the production of graphite, smelting and chemical industries. Low sulfur, high quality cooked coke, such as needle-like coke, is mainly used in the manufacture of ultra-high power graphite electrodes and some special carbon products; needle coke is an important material for the development of new technology of electric furnace steelmaking in steelmaking industry. Medium sulfur, ordinary cooked coke, widely used in aluminum refining. High sulfur, ordinary raw coke, is used in chemical production, such as the manufacture of calcium carbide, silicon carbide, etc., but also as metal casting and other fuel. Most of the petcoke produced in China is low-sulfur coke, mainly used for aluminium refining and graphite manufacturing. Another mainly used in the production of carbon products, such as graphite electrodes, anode arcs, to provide steelmaking, non-ferrous metals, aluminum refining, the production of carbonized silicon products, such as a variety of grinding wheels, sand skins, sandpaper, etc., the production of commodity calcium carbide for synthetic fibers, acetylene and other products.
