High Carbon Silicon (High Carbon Silicon) is a new type of alloy material, mainly composed of silicon (Si) and carbon (C), with small amounts of iron and other elements. 1. Steel making industry:
- Deoxidiser: High-carbon silicon is used as a deoxidiser in the steelmaking process, which can effectively remove oxygen from the steel and improve the purity of steel. Compared with ferrosilicon, its deoxidising capacity is strong and its cost is lower.
- Carbon Enhancer: It can also be used as a carbon enhancer to regulate the carbon content of the steel, which is especially suitable for steel grades that require precise control of carbon content.
2. Foundry industry:
