High Carbon Silicon (High Carbon Silicon), also known as High Carbon Silicon Alloy, is a new type of metallurgical material, the main components of which are silicon (Si) and carbon (C). It is a composite material of silicon and carbon elements, and is widely used in iron and steel smelting and casting processes as a deoxidising agent, carbonising agent and alloying agent. As a cost-effective metallurgical material, high carbon silicon plays an important role in improving the quality of steel products and optimising production costs.

1. Steelmaking deoxidiser:
- In the steelmaking process, high-carbon silicon can be used as an effective deoxidiser, replacing traditional materials such as ferrosilicon and silicon carbide. Silicon can react with oxygen in steel to form silicon dioxide, providing good deoxidation.
- The presence of carbon can help to increase the carbon content in the steel water, further improving the mechanical properties of the steel.

 

2. Carbonising agent:
- The high carbon content in high carbon silicon can be used as a carbonising agent in the iron and steel smelting process. It is especially suitable for the electric arc furnace steelmaking and casting process, which can stably increase the carbon content in the steel and enhance the hardness and strength of the steel.

 

3. Alloying agent:
