During the production of cast iron, as the amount of silicon-barium inoculant increases, the tensile strength and hardness of cast iron gradually increase. When w (silicon-barium-calcium) is 0.148%, a larger value appears, the tensile strength σb is 282 MPa, and the hardness is 228 HBS. When all silicon-barium-calcium inoculants are used, the tensile strength and hardness are significantly reduced.
