The silicon carbide system is made by passing an electric current through a mixture of clay and coke powder. It has high hardness, strength, thermal conductivity and fire resistance, and can be used as refractory materials. The main bonding bond of early silicon carbide refractories is silica bond, which is mixed with other compounds and water, and after heating, part of the silicon carbide is oxidized, and the SiO_2 and minor components (such as Al_2O_3, Fe_2O_3, CaO) are formed.

1.A refractory formulation that specifically involves a refractory material containing silicon carbide. A refractory containing silicon carbide, the formula ratio of the refractory containing silicon carbide comprises the following components by weight: magnesium oxide, 45~52 parts of calcium oxide raw materials, 1~2 parts of aluminum silicate fiber with a diameter of 2~4μm and a length of ≤1cm, 8~15 parts of silicon carbide, 12~14 parts of quartz sand, 0.2~6 parts of magnesium zirconium alloy, 3~8 parts of magnesium aluminum silicate, and 2~5 parts of bonding agent for carbon-containing refractories. The refractory material containing silicon carbide prepared by the technology of the present invention takes into account the oxidation resistance, high temperature resistance, slag permeability resistance, thermal shock resistance and easy production.
