Products Description
Metal silicon 2202 is industrially purified single silicon, also known as crystalline silicon or industrial silicon. It is a product smelted in a submerged arc furnace by smelting silica and carbonaceous reducing agent. The main component of metal silicon 2202 is silicon element, and its content is usually above 99.0%. Impurities mainly include iron (Fe≤0.2%), aluminum (Al≤0.2%) and calcium (Ca≤0.02%).

The traditional production method of metallic silicon 2202 is mainly smelting, that is, the raw silica is washed, screened and dried, mixed with a reducing agent (such as petroleum coke, charcoal, etc.) in a certain proportion, and placed in an electric furnace for high-temperature smelting. In order to improve production efficiency and reduce environmental pollution, the production process has been improved in recent years. For example, agricultural waste (such as corn stalks, reed stalks, etc.) is used to replace part of the charcoal as a reducing agent, which not only reduces costs but also realizes resource recycling. At the same time, the furnace type has been modified to increase the smelting temperature and smelting efficiency.

Metal silicon 2202 is mainly used to produce organic silicon, prepare high-purity semiconductor materials, and prepare alloys for special purposes.
