The traditional smelting method of 2202 silicon metal is to use silica, stone tar and charcoal for equal proportion mixed smelting, and use low ash petroleum coke or asphalt coke as reducing agent. However, because the resistivity of these two kinds of coke is small, the reaction ability is poor, so it is necessary to use charcoal (or wood block) with low ash content, large resistivity and strong reaction ability to replace part of the petroleum coke, the power consumption is larger, at the same time, the recovery rate of the elements in the raw materials is low, resulting in the waste of resources and environmental pollution.
