Calcium carbide is a crystalline compound that is usually dark grey. Also known as calcium acetylide, it is a compound with the chemical formula CaC2. The pure material is colourless, but most samples range in colour from black to off-white, depending on the grade. Its main use in industry is in the production of acetylene and calcium cyanamide. Calcium carbide is industrially produced in electric arc furnaces from a mixture of CaCO3 and coke (carbon) at approximately 2000°C. Applications of calcium carbide include the manufacture of acetylene gas, as well as the generation of acetylene in carbide lamps, the manufacture of chemicals for fertilizers, and steelmaking.

A: Our calcium carbide factory is located in Anyang, which is near carbide raw material place. It covers an area of 300000 aquare meters.With monthly production capacity of 6000 tons.

A: We will take a lot of sampling testing second time during carbide processing to ensure products with good gas yield.
We often do air pressure testing to drums, ensure carbide drums seals tight and safety.
Different sizes stored separately to avoid size mixing.
