High carbon ferromanganese is a ferroalloy product made from liquid carbon ferrochromium. A small amount of lime and fluorite are added to the molten pool to make slag during blowing. Silicon chromium alloy or ferrosilicon is added before tapping. The chromite resources in the fold belts account for more than 95% of the world's total. Among them, the chromium resources in the Precambrian fold belt running through eastern Africa account for 94% of the world's total. Part of the finely ground high-carbon ferromanganese is oxidized and roasted as an oxidant, mixed with water glass or other adhesives, pressed into briquettes, and dried at low temperature in a car-bottom vacuum furnace at a vacuum degree of 0.5 to 10 mm. By heating and reducing mercury at 1300-1400°C for 35-50 hours, micro-carbon ferrochromium containing less than 0.03% or even less than 0.01% carbon can be obtained.

About the uses of high carbon ferromanganese
