Casting Iron Use FeSi Ferrosilicon Ferro Silicon 75% 72% 10-50mm
In foundries, Iron Silicon is used to add to iron mixtures, such as those containing a high percentage of scrap, that would otherwise produce hard castings, as the added silicon alters the combined carbon to free or graphite carbon during cooling.
In recent years, richer Iron Silicon Alloy has been produced in electric furnaces and sold well. They can be used in special crucible steel and some electrical steel, as well as for adding silicon to steel ladles during basic open-hearth steelmaking, as it is not feasible to do so effectively in the hearth, though it is easily done in acid processes.
Ferrosilicon 75 (FeSi) is an alloy of iron and silicon used in steelmaking. This iron alloy is used in steelmaking and casting to improve hardness and deoxidation properties, enhancing the strength and quality of steel products.
