Casting Iron Use FeSi Ferrosilicon Ferro Silicon 75% 72% 10-50mm
Ferro Silicon 75 (FeSi) is an alloy of iron and silicon with numerous applications in steel production and casting, especially as a source of silicon for reducing metal oxides and deoxidizing steel and other iron alloys. Ferro Silicon Alloy helps improve the hardness and deoxidation properties of steel products, enhancing strength and quality.
With an average silicon content of about 13%, Ferro Silicon Lumps is produced in blast furnaces and has been used in steel mills for years, to some extent also in foundries. Approximately 0.3% of silicon in steel castings helps prevent porosity while contributing to the desired properties sought by engineers.
