Therefore, 75% Fe Si Foundry Grade is also used as an alloying agent in the smelting of structural steel (0.40-1.75% silicon content), tool steel (0.30-1.8% SiO2 content), spring steel (0.40-2.8% SiO2 content), and transformer silicon steel (2.81-4.8% silicon content).
At the same time, Fe Silicon 75 also improves the morphology of inclusions and reduces the content of gaseous elements in molten steel, which is an effective new technology to improve steel quality, reduce costs, and save iron. The practice has shown that silicon iron not only meets the deoxidation requirements of steelmaking but also has desulfurization properties, as well as advantages such as heavy proportion and strong permeability.
In addition, in the steelmaking industry, the use of Ferrosilicon powder can release a large amount of heat at high temperatures, often used as a steel ingot cap heating agent to improve the quality and recovery rate of steel ingots.
