Ferro Silicon Zirconiumis an iron alloy composed of zirconium, iron, silicon, aluminum and other elements. The ferrozirconium used for steelmaking is zirconium ferrosilicon, containing Zr15%~45% and Si30%~65%.

They are available in several grades: low grade alloys contain Zr 5-8% and Si 40-45% ; medium grade alloys contain Zr 12-15% and Si 39-43% in gold; high grade alloys contain Zr 35-40% and Si 47-52% , and the rest are Fe or Al. There is a patent composite alloy, containing less than 10% ZR, but also contains Mn, Al, Si, Ti and other elements.

It has the functions of deoxidation, desulfurization, dephosphorization, grain refinement, and improvement of steel strength and toughness in steelmaking.
