Does ferro titanium have magnetism?
Ferro titanium core wire is a type of wire made from titanium and ferromagnetic materials. This makes it unique because its core wire allows for passive magnetic fields, which means it can easily couple with other electrical components.
Ferro titanium is an iron alloy composed of iron and titanium, containing 10% to 20% iron and 45% to 75% titanium, sometimes also containing a small amount of carbon. It is used as a cleanser for steel during the steelmaking process; titanium has a strong reactivity with sulfur, carbon, oxygen, and nitrogen, forming insoluble compounds and isolating them in slag, thus used for deoxidation, and sometimes also for desulfurization and denitrification. In the steelmaking process, adding titanium can produce metal with a finer grain structure.
Ferro titanium can be manufactured by titanium (titanium sponge) and waste with iron, then melting them in an induction furnace. FeTi powder can also be used as fuel in certain pyrotechnic compositions.
