Ferrotitanium – A Critical Alloy for Advanced Metallurgical Applications
Ferrotitanium (FeTi) is a ferroalloy composed of titanium and iron, typically containing 30-75% titanium. It is produced through aluminothermic reduction or electric arc furnace processes, ensuring precise control over its chemical composition. With a density of 6.0-7.0 g/cm³ and a melting point of 1,660°C, FeTi exhibits exceptional stability in high-temperature environments. Its primary function is to refine grain structures, enhance corrosion resistance, and improve mechanical properties in steel and superalloys. Industries such as aerospace, automotive, and chemical processing rely on FeTi to manufacture turbine blades, automotive chassis, and corrosion-resistant pipelines.
Our FeTi adheres to international standards including ASTM A324 and ISO 5453, with customizable titanium content (35%, 50%, 70%) and low impurity levels (Al < 2.5%, C < 0.1%, S < 0.04%). Particle sizes range from 0-10mm for foundry applications to 10-50mm for steelmaking. Advanced spectral analysis ensures batch-to-batch consistency, while our proprietary desulfurization process reduces inclusions by 40% compared to industry averages.
