Some people think that it is due to the formation of Al2O3, which is difficult to remove in the alloy, but the author has found through scanning electron microscopy and energy spectrometer analysis that the alloy produced The composition is relatively uniform, and there is basically no separate Al and O inclusion phase, which means that Al and O exist in the alloy in other forms. It is generally believed that the incomplete reduction of TiO2 is the reason for the high oxygen content in the aluminothermic product. The product contains titanium oxide or forms a titanium oxide solid solution, which is very difficult to remove. The author has tried to use metal calcium as a reducing agent for re-reduction and to use metal calcium to replace part of the aluminum as a reducing agent, but the effect is not very good. As the amount of aluminum increases, the titanium reduction rate increases, and the aluminum content in the alloy also increases. It may be because aluminum and metal titanium form stable A-type intermetallic compounds.
