Ferro vanadium is an important alloy additive in iron and steel industry. Iron vanadium can improve the strength, toughness, ductility and heat resistance of steel. Since the 1960s, the application of iron vanadium in the steel industry has increased dramatically, and by 1988 it accounted for 85% of iron vanadium consumption. The proportion of iron vanadium consumption in steel is 20% carbon steel, 25% high-strength low-alloy steel, 20% alloy steel, and 15% tool steel. High strength low alloy steel containing vanadium iron (HSLA) is widely used in the production and construction of oil/gas pipelines, buildings, Bridges, steel rails, pressure vessels, carriage frames, etc. The application range of various vanadium-containing iron and steel is becoming wider and wider, and the relevant talents are becoming more and more important, and Ruidou metal network collects more.
Ferro vanadium metal is mainly used in the production of ferrous vanadium titanium alloys, such as Ti-6AI-4V, Ti-6AI-6V-2Sn and Ti-8AI-1V-Mo. Ti-6AI-4V alloy is an excellent high-temperature structural material used in the manufacture of aircraft and rockets, and is highly valued in the United States, accounting for more than half of the production of titan-based vanadium ferroalloy. Iron vanadium metal can also be used in magnetic materials, cast iron, carbide, superconducting materials and nuclear reactor materials and other fields.
