Ferrovanadium is used as an alloying agent in steelmaking to improve the strength, electrical resistance and weldability of steel.
Industrial Ferrovanadium is added to stainless steel and other high-strength low-alloy steels as well as specialty steels to provide extra strength and hardness. Some uses of ferrovanadium are in high-temperature structural applications such as boilers, pressure vessels, and airframes.
Ferro vanadium Master Alloy is also used in tool steel, rail steel, and forged steel such as crankshafts and ball bearings.
Iron Vanadium Alloy is used in the production of permanent magnets and high-temperature alloys.
Vanadium Ferroalloys are also used in the production of vanadium wire and vanadium plates.

Ferrovanadium, also known as ferrovanadium alloy, is a type of iron alloy.
