Ferro Vanadium 50  is an alloy consisting of vanadium and iron in steel, the content of vanadium is generally between 48% and 55% .

 

The chemical composition of vanadium iron determines its good hardness, strength, and wear resistance, making it suitable for manufacturing high-strength steel. Vanadium iron also plays an important role in steel smelting, improving the thermal stability and heat treatment performance of steel. In addition to vanadium and iron, the chemical composition of ferrovanadium may also contain other impurity elements, which have a certain impact on the performance and use of ferrovanadium. Therefore, in the production and application process of ferrovanadium, it is necessary to pay attention to controlling the content of chemical components to ensure the quality and effectiveness of ferrovanadium.

 

Practice has shown that using vanadium trioxide as the production raw material for vanadium iron smelting can save 30% to 40% of aluminum compared to using vanadium pentoxide as the raw material for vanadium iron smelting. It has the advantages of low cost, high recovery rate, and more environmentally friendly.

Factory smelting

 

When using silicon to reduce vanadium oxide, the reaction proceeds slowly and incompletely due to insufficient heat, and an external heat source must be added to accelerate the reaction. The general silicon thermal method for smelting vanadium iron is to use silicon iron to smelt V2O5 castings into vanadium iron in a steelmaking electric arc furnace.
