Products Description

Vanadium-nitrogen alloy is a blank made of vanadium pentoxide, carbon powder, activator and other raw materials. It is generated by reaction at 1500~1800℃ under normal pressure and nitrogen atmosphere protection. The research and development of vanadium-nitrogen alloy is difficult and it belongs to the top cutting-edge technology in the metallurgical industry. It can be used in structural steel, tool steel, pipeline steel, steel bar and cast iron. It can be used in high-strength low-alloy steel to effectively micro-alloy vanadium and nitrogen at the same time, promote the precipitation of carbon, vanadium and nitrogen compounds in steel, and play the role of sedimentation strengthening and grain refinement.

Vanadium-nitrogen alloy is a new type of alloy additive that can replace vanadium iron in the production of microalloyed steel. Adding vanadium nitride to steel can improve the comprehensive mechanical properties of steel, such as strength, toughness, ductility and thermal fatigue resistance, and make the steel have good weldability. When achieving the same strength, adding vanadium nitride saves 30%~40% of vanadium addition, thereby reducing costs.

Vanadium Nitrogen Alloy

There are many methods for preparing vanadium-nitrogen alloys. For example, the carbon thermal reduction-nitriding method uses carbon powder and vanadium pentoxide as raw materials, and after pressing and high-temperature heating, the oxygen in vanadium pentoxide is replaced by nitrogen, thereby preparing vanadium-nitrogen alloy. This method is a traditional method for preparing vanadium-nitrogen alloys, and the reaction temperature needs to be strictly controlled to avoid the occurrence of surface cracking of the product. Another way is to use ferrovanadium and aluminum nitride as raw materials: ferrovanadium and aluminum nitride are mixed in a certain proportion, and a reducing agent is added for reduction reaction. Through the reduction reaction at high temperature, the vanadium in ferrovanadium and the nitrogen in aluminum nitride react to form a vanadium-nitrogen alloy. In addition, ammonium vanadate can be used as a raw material: the filter cake-like ammonium vanadate with a water content of 20-30% is sent into the dryer, mixed with the tail gas to form a high gas-solid ratio and dried into a dry powder, and then enters the calcining furnace to mix with the high-temperature gas to remove ammonia and generate powdered vanadium. Powdered vanadium is added with raw materials such as carbon powder and activator to form balls, which are reduced under normal pressure and nitrogen atmosphere protection in a continuous atmosphere double-push plate high-temperature furnace to form a vanadium-nitrogen alloy.
