How do you use Fe Silicon?
Silicon Ferro is used as a source of silicon to reduce metals from oxides and to deoxidize steel and other ferrous alloys.
This prevents the loss of carbon in the molten steel (so-called heat blocking); ferromanganese, spheroidal steel, calcium silicide and many other materials are also used for the same purpose.
Ferro silicon generally contains 70% to 75% silicon, which gives ferrosilicon excellent silicide properties.
Ferrosilicon FeSi has low hysteresis loss, which means that it can reduce energy loss in AC electromagnetic fields.
