February Tungsten Monthly Review
In February, ferrotungsten prices initially rose and then stabilized. At the beginning of the month, prices increased slightly, with 70# ferrotungsten quoted at 217,000–219,000 yuan/ton and 80# ferrotungsten at 224,000 yuan/ton. A small number of ferrotungsten manufacturers resumed production, while others sold off previous stock. Traders had limited spot inventory, and small casting companies gradually resumed production, leading to minimal purchasing demand.
In the middle and later part of the month, most ferrotungsten manufacturers resumed production, and prices remained relatively strong. The price of 70# ferrotungsten held steady at 217,000–220,000 yuan/ton, while 80# ferrotungsten ranged from 222,000–225,000 yuan/ton. Some steel mills began purchasing after the New Year, leading to a recovery in steel bidding volumes, though significantly lower compared to January.
According to incomplete statistics, the total ferrotungsten bidding volume in February was approximately 207 tons, a decrease of 277 tons from January.
