Application Of Niobium Bar

Niobium bars are mainly made of niobium metal or its alloy. Niobium is a silver-gray rare metal with a soft texture and good ductility. Niobium and niobium alloy wire are widely used to manufacture electronic components such as high-pressure sodium lamps and anode leads of electrolytic capacitors. Niobium can also be used to make superconducting materials, getters for vacuum tubes and mortgage rectifiers. In the production of micro-alloyed steel, niobium is an excellent additive element, which can significantly improve the hardness, strength, malleability and weldability of steel.

When a niobium bar is used in a high-temperature environment, it should be noted that niobium pentoxide oxide film with no protective effect may be formed on its surface, so additional protective measures may be needed, such as coating.
