Products Description
Like ferrosilicon, ferrosilicon powder is an alloy. Its main components are silicon and iron, in addition to silicon, aluminum, carbon, sulfur, phosphorus and other components. Ferrosilicon powder is made of ferrosilicon by grinding. Since silicon and oxygen are easy to synthesize silicon dioxide, ferrosilicon is often used as a deoxidizer in steelmaking. Ferrosilicon powder is often used as deoxidizer and alloying agent in steelmaking industry. Ferrosilicon powder is mainly used in metallurgical industry, such as steel, casting, mineral processing and other industrial fields. Ferrosilicon powder can give off a lot of heat at high temperature, which can be used as a heating agent to improve the quality and recovery rate of ingot.

In order to significantly improve the strength, hardness and elasticity of steel, a certain amount of silicon is often added to steel. It is often used for smelting structural steel, tool steel, spring steel, transformer and so on. Because of the strong chemical affinity between silicon and oxygen, and the low carbon content of high-silicon ferrosilicon, high-silicon ferrosilicon (or silicon alloy) is often used as reducing agent to produce low-carbon ferroalloy in ferroalloy industry. Adding a certain amount of ferrosilicon to cast iron can prevent the formation of carbide and promote the precipitation and spheroidization of graphite during ironmaking, so ferrosilicon is an important inoculant (to help precipitate graphite) and spheroidizing agent in the production of ductile iron.
